It’s December 1st, Giving Tuesday, a day of online philanthropy recognized around the world. And it’s a special day at Companis, because it kicks off our goal to meet a special challenge: a generous Seattle donor couple is offering to match the first $20k in donations received that day, and through December, all part of our year-end fundraising campaign.
We’re asking you to help us close the year strong. Why? We’re prepping for record high demand, which we anticipate throughout 2021, with projections of economic hardship for so many. That means our nonprofit partners will need more help, and more of our neighbors will too. And, it means more people will step forward to serve through Companis to meet those needs, and bring their compassion into action. That’s what Companis experienced in the last recession of 2007-2009. In that short span, our placement numbers increased four-fold and continued t grow from there. We’re built for this, and Companis continues to play a key part in community recovery.
