Welcoming new talents to the Companis team

Nov 24, 2020

Companis Workers Cynthia Hunter, Donna Whitford and Tess Selim are now part of the Companis team to help us grow our outreach to new communities, volunteers and partners.

Cynthia joined Companis in 2018, in a placement with Byrd Barr Place, and later with Fabian’s Fund. Cynthia is our Outreach Specialist, and is focusing her work on BIPOC communities and BIPOC-led nonprofit agencies in the region. She joined us in August, and has a number of new partners already. Cynthia’s professional resume includes administrative and financial leadership roles with Seattle Baptist Union, the Evergreen Association of American Baptist Churches, and the Washington Baptist Convention.

Donna came on board with us in September, following placements with Benefits Law Center (where she continues in service), Columbia Legal Services, and, in recent years, with Unity on Union Books and Recovery House. Donna is a seasoned development pro, and led development programs at St. Vincent dePaul of Seattle/King County, and earlier at Seattle University. She is a graduate of the Masters in Nonprofit Leadership program at S.U.

Tess came to Companis in early 2019, and was immediately placed with partner agency Folio: The Seattle Athenaeum, a nonprofit library and cultural center. Folio hired Tess following her year-long placement, and is their Membership & Development Coordinator. Happily, she has room in her busy schedule to assist Companis with social media and communications production, and increase our digital outreach to the Companis community. Tess joined us this past week.

Welcome aboard, Cynthia, Donna and Tess!
