Chris Langeler is serving as Interim Executive Director of Companis. Chris has worked closely with Companis for many years in a variety of different roles, including hosting volunteer placements as a nonprofit executive director, guiding Companis’ five-year strategic planning process as a consultant, and serving as a volunteer placement himself. Throughout his career, Chris has focused on helping nonprofit organizations build capacity strengthen the systems and relationships that allow good work to go further.
That long-standing, capacity-focused approach closely aligns with Companis’ role as a trusted hub of support for our local communities and the organizations that serve them. For more than 30 years, Companis has strengthened the local nonprofit ecosystem by placing skilled volunteers where they can have the greatest impact, supporting many organizations at once.
As Interim Executive Director, Chris is focused on supporting the wonderful staff, volunteer corps, and partner agency leaders that make this work possible. In 2026, Companis is committed and ready to provide the behind-the-scenes help needed to ensure our nonprofit partners can continue to be there for marginalized and underserved communities throughout this turbulent time in our society.
